Stephanie Heinrich

I was born on November 13, 1979 and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. I come from a fantastic family -- I've got two great brothers and my mom and dad have been happily married for 32 years. Growing up with two older brothers made me into a total tomboy when I was a kid: We'd always play tag football in our back yard (who would have thought back then that my Centerfold would be set in a football locker room!). We'd also go hunting at the local creek and build snow forts and have huge snowball fights in the winter. In high school I was a cheerleader, and I was also a teacher's aide. I would help a couple of my teachers grade papers and get the class assignments organized for the day. My favorite part of high school was definitely hanging out with my friends -- we'd go to all the big parties and basketball and football games together. I was pretty popular and had plenty of friends, but I definitely wasn't judgmental -- I was friends with everyone. After high school I enrolled at the University of Cincinnati. At the time I was majoring in criminal justice, and my goal was to become a homicide detective or even a prosecutor. I was in my sophomore year of college when Playboy came into my life. I'd never modeled before, but I decided to try my luck and audition for the "Girls of Conference USA" pictorial. When I actually made it into the magazine I was totally shocked. You can see me in my Playboy debut in the October 2000 issue. Even though it was only one picture in the magazine, I felt like all my dreams had come true! I couldn't have imagined what was in store for me next. At the same time the Conference USA issue of Playboy came out, the Playboy Cyber Club's editors selected me to be the very first Cyber Girl of the Week which you can see exclusively in the Playboy Cyber Club. It felt really good to be a part of something new for Playboy, and my family was really excited and proud of me. I'm so glad I started out as a Cyber Girl -- if I hadn't, I wouldn't be where I am today. Toward the end of October 2000 I headed off to LA to do promotions for Playboy.com's Cyber Girls at Glamourcon. I had heard that Hef was going to be coming that day, and all I wanted to do was get my picture taken with him. When he showed up I just froze. All I kept thinking to myself was, "There's the man." Hef invited me to the Halloween party that coming weekend, so I went and ended up having a great time! I danced with Hef and his girlfriends all night long. I had taken some Centerfold test shots a few days before the party, and when I arrived home I got a phone call from Playboy telling me that I had been accepted as a Playmate. I was so excited! Hef had invited me back out to the Mansion that same week, and it wasn't long before he invited me to live there. I was so surprised and flattered that he would ask me to come and live with him, considering all the beautiful women he gets to be around. I made my final move in the beginning of December 2000, and I've been living there ever since. I love living at the Mansion, and one of the best parts about life here is getting to go to all of Hef's parties -- they're outrageous. We all get custom-made outfits, and it's fun because you can just walk upstairs whenever you feel like it -- you don't have to worry about getting a ride home! I'm really good friends with all the girls who live here, and I also love hanging out with all the models and celebrities who come to visit. All the other Playmates are great -- Nicole Van Croft, Jennifer Walcott, Miriam Gonzalez, Lauren Hill, Dalene Kurtis, Lisa Dergan, Ava Fabian and Julie McCullough are all good friends of mine. I also love partying with Joanie Laurer, who was known as Chyna on the cover of Playboy's November 2000 issue. And my best friend here in LA is Tiffany Holliday, who also lives here at the Mansion. We always have a good time together, whether we're trying out new restaurants (Mexican is my favorite!) or just taking our dogs out to the park. In January 2001, the members of the Playboy Cyber Club selected me to become their very first Cyber Girl of the Month. I was up against some really tough competition and I didn't want to get my hopes up, so when I won I was so excited! I hopped on a plane and flew out to Playboy headquarters in Chicago for my New Year's Eve-themed photo shoot, which you can see exclusively in the Playboy Cyber Club. I've always loved Chicago, so it was fun going out there. Between photo and video shoots I hung out with Playboy staffers, who took me to ESPNZone and the Hard Rock Cafe. It was a lot of fun! When my Cyber Girl of the Month pictures were posted in the Playboy Cyber Club, Hef and I went online at the Mansion to look at them together. Hef thinks the Cyber Girls are a good idea and a great expansion of Playboy on the web. He's excited because I was the very first Cyber Girl of the Week and of the Month. I know how much he loves Marilyn Monroe (well, who doesn't?), so I was incredibly honored when he said to me, "Stephanie, you're the Marilyn Monroe of the Internet." Besides all the fantastic parties Hef throws, I've also had the chance to go to some amazing events with him and my Mansion roommates. We've been to the Grammys, the Vanity Fair Academy Awards party and the Golden Globes, just to name a few. I've met so many amazing celebrities. The Vanity Fair party is the hottest Hollywood party all year -- there's a celebrity everywhere you look. And the best part about it was that we were definitely part of the scene -- people were approaching us as much as we were approaching them. So far I've met Vince Vaughn, Tom Hanks and even Janet Jackson, but of all the celebrities I've met, I have to say the nicest is Jennifer Lopez -- I love her. She's beautiful and she has curves like a normal woman, instead of being super skinny like a lot of other starlets. Going with Hef to Cannes and on a tour of Europe last spring was also amazing. I like Europe a lot. The sightseeing was great -- we did everything from visiting the guards at the Tower of London to cruising the Mediterranean on a yacht. It was incredibly fun, but it was a whirlwind -- I think if I go again I'd like to stay in one country for more than two days! I was already thrilled about being selected as Miss October 2001, so I could barely control my excitement when I found out that I was also going to be on the issue's cover. I was driving when they called to tell me, and I almost got in a car wreck! It was just the icing on the cake for the most incredible year of my life. I've been fantasizing about being in Playboy since I was a little girl, and my friends are always reminding me of when I was 16 and I was joking around on the bed, acting like I was posing for my Centerfold. Now that I've made that dream a reality, I can move on to others. I want to be an actress, and I'd also like to continue modeling, but it's really competitive out here in LA, so I'm also planning on going back to school. I've decided that I'd like to get a degree in communications and possibly become a broadcaster for a news organization someday.
